Introduction
DuskPane is a macOS utility developed by Misek AB, a Swedish software company. This policy describes how DuskPane handles your data.
Data Collection
DuskPane does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The application runs entirely on your Mac with no network communication. No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind.
System Permissions
DuskPane requests two macOS system permissions to function:
Accessibility API — Required for the Window Attachment feature (DuskPane Pro only). This permission allows DuskPane to read window positions so overlays can follow application windows. This data is used locally and in real-time only; nothing is recorded or transmitted.
Screen Recording — Required for overlay rendering. macOS requires this permission for any application that composites content on top of other windows. DuskPane uses this solely to display overlays. No screen content is captured, recorded, or transmitted.
Third-Party Services
DuskPane uses Lemon Squeezy to process purchases and deliver license keys. When you purchase DuskPane Pro, Lemon Squeezy handles the payment transaction. Their privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
The DuskPane application itself makes no network requests. License key validation is performed locally using cryptographic verification.
Cookies and Analytics
The DuskPane website (duskpane.com) does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts of any kind.
Children's Privacy
DuskPane is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at duskpane.com/privacy/ with a new effective date.
